Dear Mentone Families,

I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal for Mentone Elementary School! It is an incredible honor to join this vibrant school community, and I am filled with excitement as we finish the school year together.

One of the things I’m most looking forward to is walking through the classrooms and witnessing the amazing learning, creativity, and curiosity that come to life each day. Mentone has a proud tradition of excellence, and I can’t wait to see the passion and dedication of the students and staff in action.

Equally important to me is building strong, meaningful connections with the families and community. I believe that when schools and families work hand-in-hand, our students thrive. I am eager to partner with each of you to support every child’s success.

Dear Mentone Elementary Community,

I am honored to return to Mentone Elementary as your Assistant Principal. From August 2023 to October 2024, I had the privilege of serving this incredible school community, and I am truly excited to be back!

I bring with me 34 years of experience in public education, including 8 years as a classroom teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels, and 26 years as an elementary school administrator—6 years as an assistant principal and 20 years as a principal.

Throughout my career, I have become deeply invested in supporting student success. The schools I have served have consistently been recognized for academic excellence and for creating inclusive, supportive environments for all students, including those in special education. My ongoing commitment is to help ensure that every student at Mentone Elementary receives a high-quality education in a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.

I look forward to partnering with our entire staff, students and their families, and the Mentone community as a whole, as we continue to build a strong school culture focused on pride and excellence. Together, we will strive to make this a successful year filled with accomplishments and meaningful experiences.
