The first half of the school year brought many wonderful memories and fun times for Mentone students and their families - Back to School night, Catalina Island, Resource Fair, Assemblies, fundraisers, Red Ribbon Week, Turkey Trot, Student Recognition Awards, parent conferences, Holiday parade float, report cards and more......
Mentone School is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee - 60 years of educating Mentone youth! We are very proud of our school. Our Motto is "If Better is Possible....Good is not Enough!"This is evident with our 815 API and making our AYP. Although we are a GOOD school, we strive every day to be even better. We look forward to a great 2nd half of the school year with many exciting things happening at Mentone School - Lots of learning, Writing Celebration, reading with our alumni in March, Title 1 Parent Night, Coffee with the Principal, testing - state and GATE, awards assemblies, fundraising for the 2010 5th grade science camp and a culminating 60th anniversary celebration barbecue on the playground.
